At North Orange County Chinese School, we believe that an effective education doesn’t just come from memorizing or lecturing. All of our courses are designed to encourage collaboration and student engagement.
Our experienced teachers use a variety of learning materials and interactive activities to ensure that students of all levels can learn Mandarin effectively and efficiently. Our classes are tailored to each student's individual needs and interests, making learning Mandarin an enjoyable and rewarding experience.
Beginner Class
Our beginner class is perfect for those just starting out in their language learning journey. With a focus on pronunciation, basic vocabulary, common sentence patterns, and simple grammar, our class provides a comprehensive introduction to the language. To make learning fun and engaging, our class incorporates interactive activities such as songs and games.

Intermediate Class
Our Intermediate class is designed to take your language learning to the next level. The class focuses on learning advanced vocabulary, complex sentence patterns, oral expression, and listening comprehension. The class combines communicative language practice and games activities for effective learning, making it fun and interactive.

Advanced Class
Our Advanced Class is perfect for students who have achieved a higher level of Chinese proficiency and have a certain level of Chinese reading and writing ability. This class focuses on learning advanced vocabulary, writing composition and giving oral presentations, all of which are essential for mastering the Chinese language.

Cultural Elective Class
NOCCS offers a wide range of elective classes that explore traditional Chinese culture. Students can learn Chinese calligraphy, yo-yo, kung-fu, lion dance and more. These classes provide an exciting and engaging way to experience different learning methods and a variety of cultural activities. Cultural classes are part of our semester-long classes and are included in our low tuition. NOCCS understands that you may need that extra attention and is happy to offer up private and Simi Private tutoring.
